Quentin Stubbins is a doctoral candidate in counseling psychology at Andrews University. He holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from Washburn University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University Southeast. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Cincinnati's Counseling and Psychological Services, where he provided individual and group psychotherapy, mental health outreach, and crisis management to undergraduate and graduate students. He has also worked at Valeo Mental Health Care in Topeka, Kansas and at Maryhurst and Seven Counties Services in Louisville, Kentucky, where he provided assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with a full range of mood, anxiety, school/education, parenting, adjustment/transition, and identity-related concerns.
Quentin conducts comprehensive psychological testing and psychotherapy at SBHS. His therapeutic approach is primarily cognitive behavioral, which involves helping clients understand the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and make changes to their lives based on that understanding.
